| " Capn Stewmeiser began in 2006 as a joke on behalf of the Internet user known as Stewie2kill. Capn Stewmeiser was the name he gave to himself when he began to joke about pirating stuff and his gorwing distaste towards the media policies of the current world. Capn Was intentionally misspelled to enhance the joke and only recently has the asterisk been removed, signifying his growth in the field of music. His policies are insane, many question his talent (suitably so) to the extent of calling it 'A lethal cocktail of hate, idealism, and hell spawn caustic soda'. That's from an anonymous source. He generally stays away from labels, calling them 'Soul Suckers' and 'Death Contracts', and he dis-likes the policies and procedures set aside by the FCC and the RIAA. He preaches in the name of free spiritism and tends to rely heavily on the creativity and the moral support of the fans he currently has. Contrary to popular belief, Capn Stew is a christian, and his favorite target for such hilarious mockeries is Fred Phelps, though he often finds other Evangelical and overly radical religious speakers to pick on. The First Album 'For Understanding Concepts and Knowledge' was released in the summer of 2007, and sold precisely 0 copies, though the download count stood at 23 and will continue to rise as he offers it for pirating again and again. He has released several EP's including several Christmas songs to show his support for the season of love, a Halloween EP which recieved little public exposure, and an EP for his latest single '(T)Rust' off of the album 'Frequent Me'. Though he dislikes the policies and openly criticizes them in as many ways as possible he still tries his best to follow them when producing anything he feels might get any 'decent' public exposure or any sort of money exchange for it. Capn Stewmeiser is also a student and hates Algebra. The newest Album 'Frequent Me' is set to release on Friday the 13th (June 13th) 2008, and 15 copies of it will be distributed on cassette to close friends, families, and other lucky fans. The cassette copies are handmade in a 'pirate' fashion and are ultra rare. CD copies may be obtained from Cafepress.com when the time comes, but there are rumors that the Capn may decide to circulate 'Frequent Me' through Bittorrent as a way of showing his support for the File sharing crowd. There are future plans already underway for a third album, and even a few other side-projects. Any new information will be posted on Darkjam.com or Myspace.com/capnstewmeiser. " |
