| "ENEMIES was formed by sheer accident in 2006 in the dallas/fort worth area college town of denton,tx. failing to find anything else worth living for, these four degenerates banded together to make as grate a racket as possible. JD SINAI (voices, lead and rhythm guitars) grew up in the redneck infested wastelands of south and central florida. after a youth spent perfecting the arts of petty vandalism and senseless political subversion he decided for various reasons (re: can be tried as an adult) to find slightly more constructive avenues of expression. JD played in the orlando based band OBLIVION, who released one critically well received album (THE END OF RADIO) on Milk records in late 2004. a desire to escape the rotting culture that is his home state brought him to denton, where he met up with his future bandmates. bassist KAOS grew up in a parallel redneck universe in the hinterlands of north texas. after playing in 14 bands in the north texas area that you've never heard of he found that he had nothing better to do than join ENEMIES. if you see him hanging out before or after a show, feel free to buy him a drink. DAGO MATT(drums and percussion) was born in minnesota, dontcha know, and spent most of his youth in the republican hellden of phoenix, arizona, smoking pot wth day laborors. a KNTU dj with a jazz background, he's thrown away any chance he had at being a productive member of society when he joined this band. against her better judgment, JAMIE FISHER(sex and violins), finally gave in to the temptations of ENEMIES. She is a self taught violinist, so don't expect any "too pretty for rock" notes coming from her end of the sound. the germ of the virus that is ENEMIES was conceived when jamie and jd began playing drunken jams in her apartment. ENEMIES released their independent, internet only debut e.p "live at the old dirty basement" in july 2007, with a studio full length soon to follow. We were recently featured in the Dallas Observer! http://www.dallasobserver.com/2008-10-02/music/north-of-the-dial/ That means we're real musicians, right? " |
